ANSWERED FROM TOSHIBA FORUM:
just upgraded to a solid
state drive on this laptop
last night. Like you, I was
looking everywhere for
instructions too. I removed
all 12 screws but it still
seemed to be sealed tightly
shut. Since it says the
components are not user
replaceable, I wondered if
they pulled any odd tricks
to getting it open, so I
actually looked under two
of the rubber bumpers to
see if there were more
screws, and even made a
feeble attempt and sliding
the top keyboard out. All in
all, it really is just the 12
screws. Just pull on one
corner near where the
laptop screen hinges are,
use something like a credit
card to slide along the edge
and pull firmly to pop each
piece of plastic out of
place.It's really on there
tight, but once a few pop
off it's not that bad. Once
open, everything is simply
laid out and easily
accessible to change the
hard drive or ram. Hope I
can help anyone who was
wondering if pulling on that
bottom cover is gonna
break anything. I'll even be
taking it apart again once I
order my new ram.
